The Minnequa Steel Works administration building in Pueblo, Colorado.
Built in 1901 to serve the over 5,000 employees working at the mill. At the time it was the CF&I building (Colorado Fuel and Iron), which dominated the industrial history of many counties in this area.

The grounds have the tunnels under the interstate going to the mill, the medical offices that were built in 1902 and have been adjusted for needs since then. The medical building is now a museum for the mill. It includes history for the railroad, mining and more.
To stand in this lot and get a good look at the mill is breathtaking. I am one of those that believe industrial areas have some of the coolest views, especially industrial ones against mountains. I’m always left in awe that almost all the structures you see here were built in the early 1900s… such industrious people lived in that time.

I can only imagine the echo in these halls from long gone employees… And their families.
