146 Years ago, James W Hill was buried in Rosita Cemetery, Rosita, Colorado.
Born Feb 18th, 1847 and Died October 26th, 1879. He was 32 years old. His Inscription reads “(unreadable)…scene when virtue dies. Then sinks a righteous soul to rest; How sweetly beams the closing eye, How gently heaves the expanding breast.”
His stone has been repaired and a little of it is unreadable due to the break. After another break the cemetery placed his stone in this cement brace for holding. Hopefully it will last many more years this way.
