On the way to Deer Haven Trailhead, you might have happened upon this at some point. Deer Haven is along County Road 69 in Fremont County.
Though I don’t believe this building was part of Wilson Creek, it was nearby. Its use is unknown to me. Other than Wilson Creek running just to the east of it. The History of the area mentions an old School House and a small ranch settlement. I am not certain on what the use of this was. There was evidence of a small shower area inside and it looks that use was not terribly long ago.

Using maps I was able to locate other buildings that are on private land. I have been up and down this road dozens of times in the past, but have not taken any of the hiking trails yet. I will further look into the area surrounding this.

The land that Deer Haven sits on is a 5,000 acre parcel that in 1992 Richard King Melon Foundation donated to the BLM for resource and wildlife protection. There are private properties along the road, but much of it is public use. Horses and hikers frequent the area for recreation.
County Road 69 is an old roadway going from northwest of Canon City over the hills to High Park Road. This is a stunning drive, though can get tricky near Seep Springs going up the mountain in Canon City. Snow can make this trip or even unpassable as much of the climb is in the shadows all day. High Clearance 4×4 recommended.
