My favorites from the headstones at Mountain View Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado.

Mountain View Cemetery, Pueblo, Colorado

Here some of my favorites from my Mountain View Cemetery visit.

Mountain View Cemetery in Pueblo. There are currently 28,000 memorials in this cemetery and they are still accepting new burials.

The first record of a burial is listed at Johnathan R Cooper in 1849, though his headstone is not recorded in online records. He was an infant. The next to be listed is John Henry Fisher in 1862, he was 28 years old.

The older section of the cemetery was so amazing to walk through right after the snow had fallen. The quietness of the snow and the morning light added a layer of mystery to my walk. The East Gate was my favorite section. I parked along the rock wall and abandoned my jeep for hours so that I could roam and read. These are some of my favorites.

Afterall, there are 45 acres to roam.

The rock wall and gated are amazing.
