This Koch family is well known for settling in Hayden and along the mountain. I also saw several of them in the San Isabel View Cemetery that may be of relation. These ranchers and farmers were among the first in the area.

This is one of the most amazing monuments I have ever encountered. There were several of them, each so unique at honoring those lost. These are simply beautiful and the craftsmanship is absolutely stunning. The hand trowel was a lovely touch. It lies on the mantel at the top. These stones are so creative. They definitely express who those they honor really were.

I admit I do love cemeteries, and I love roaming the isles of stones reading, thinking, blessing and doing my best to honor each soul there. These were spectacular, I know that their beauty also signifies deep loss. These left me in awe. This is one of them out of a series of 5 I believe.

To the monument hands that built, great job. I don’t think you could have done better and honoring them and making sure they are Not Forgotten.

What a stunning stone. Absolutely breathtaking, all of them.
May this family find peace, the flowers were lovely in the breeze.
