We are but souls in a vessel, borrowed for a short time. Headstones are not for the dead, they are for the living to remember them by.

Sometimes I just don’t have a story to share, nor can I find one. This handmade stone deserves remembrance today, even by those who have never visited it. This is the purpose of graves. They are not for the dead, but for the living to remember them by.

This cemetery touches my soul. Everytime. The hills echo of the long lost loved ones buried here. This place just feels spiritual. There are many, many graves here with no markers. Not sure that those that grieved for them needed them, their feet knew where they were and their hearts would never forget the way to them.

We are but souls in vessels, borrowed for a short time.

This stone is amazing.
