While searching for another stone, I came across this one in Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City, Colorado.
Josiah Ishmael Bennett, Born in Illinois October of 1862, He passed away at 72 years old in 1935.
Anne Ethel Fast Bennett, Born in September 1875, She passed away at 92 years old in 1967.
Inscription reads “I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do.”
The trees that surround this stone are the most amazing possibly unintentional art I’ve seen in a long time. I am going to venture and say that the trees were bent to do this at one time, but I truly do not know.
This is poetry in death. The photo and video speaks for itself on this one. I spent a long time admiring this beauty and returned again to capture this lovely stone and the trees that hug it.
This is a stunning and beautiful place for them to rest. May they rest in peace.
