Beaver Park Cemetery in Penrose, Colorado is just off the opposite side of the main highway near town.
The interesting part of cemeteries of this age are the personalities that go into the headstones.
These Ledger Stones over George and Ruth Goodall are phenomenal craftsmanship. Looking up their story told me tales of beautiful souls.
George has an inscription on his stone reading “It’s nice to be important, but more important to be nice.”
Ruth’s is amazing as well. I’ve left photos of them at the end and will also post the ledger photos in the comments.

Ruth was a very loved at the Silver Saddle in Pueblo, Colorado. She was known as “Mrs G” and her wait staff loved her dearly.
The Goodalls purchased the Silver Saddle in 1971. Ruth’s Motto was “You are only a stranger here once.”
I read that it also closed for good recently. Legends sometimes fade, I’m certain their story was meant to live on.
Let’s pay our respects to a lives well lived and loved.
