This road is beautiful, Rain or Shine! Visit the Hartsel Area today. This state park is stunning and worth a visit any time of year. Be aware though, some gates are locked during the winter, this is from the county road that runs next to the State Park.

Video of Buckley Ranch and surrounding was area taken in 2021. This stretch of road is stunning, especially when snow is present.

First inhabited by the Utes, this area of County Road 59 is one of the most beautiful views in Colorado. The sweeping meadows and near 360 degree Mountain views are staggering no matter which direction you look.

Zebulon Pike first explored this area in 1806 and was believed to have hiked to the top of Spinney Mountain.

The Buckley Ranch and Harrington Ranch area. Buckley Ranch was originally settled by James B. Putnam in 1881. The land was used for Cattle in the past.

In 1899 Ada Harrington Buckley turned the Ranch into a large sheep operation.

The Ranch is now part of the Spinney Mountain Wildlife area. Though Spinney Mountain Wildlife Park is closed for the season, the county road going through is a must drive if in that area.

Nearby properties are just as gorgeous! The Bison are almost always seen from the road near Spinney Mountain Reservoir.
